Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants (Nights) to join our team at our Outstanding Castleford House Nursing Home in chepstow. Based in our welcoming care home, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents' well-being during night shifts, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout the night.
Hours/Pay
- 24 Hours per week
- Night Shifts (2 x 12 hours)
- £13.00-£13.50 dependant on qualifications
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive personal care to residents during night hours, respecting their dignity and privacy.
- Monitor residents' health and well-being, responding promptly to their needs.
- Assist with medication administration as per care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents.
- Support residents with mobility, hygiene, and comfort needs.
- Collaborate with the wider care team to ensure seamless support.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to create a safe environment.
- Engage residents in calming activities or conversations to promote restful sleep.
Qualifications
- Proven experience or interest in working within a care home or home care setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of care.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others.
- Knowledge of care plans and basic IT skills are beneficial.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
