Role: Cleaner / Stores Assistant in Food Production
Hours: 24 - 32 hours per week (ie 3 or 4 days) working on a rota basis covering our working week of Monday to Saturday (9am - 5.30pm approx)
This position is permanent and not available as a Summer job.
Role Overview: Responsible for cleaning the butchery manufacturing and associated areas . Checking in stock, stock rotation, production etc. To maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all areas to a high level, maintaining strict food safety legislative guidelines.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
To thoroughly clean all benches, butchery equipment, fridges to standard required
To clean all utensils/ knives/ crates effectively and store correctly
To wash all wall and floor surfaces in manufacturing area
To follow daily cleaning schedule which includes cleaning fridges, prep areas, loading bay etc
To Dismantle and re-assemble production equipment for the purpose of cleaning.
Use chemicals and jet washers/ manual methods to carry out cleaning of machinery ready for production start-up
To ensure all waste products collected during tasks are segregated and disposed of correctly.
To compact boxes and prepare for collection
Check in and store deliveries, stock rotation.
This is a physical job and the role will involve heavy lifting at times due to nature of machinery in manufacturing area
COSHH awareness
May involve some food production tasks as required.
To ensure all Operational Cleaning processes are adhered to and hygiene levels upheld.
