The Bread & Bitter is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our busy and friendly kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills, take on responsibility, and play a key role in delivering the high-quality food our customers know and love.
Working alongside our Head Chef and Sous Chef, you'll be at the heart of our kitchen operation, supporting food preparation and maintaining exceptional standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations
- Assisting with food preparation and service during busy shifts
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness
- Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met
- Contributing ideas for menu development and seasonal specials
- Working collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Helping to create an efficient, organised, and positive working environment
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- A passion for quality food and excellent standards
- The ability to work well under pressure in a busy service environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak trading periods
