About the Role
Rushmore Business School is seeking a qualified and motivated Lecturer to deliver and support the BSc Nursing Top-Up programme (Level 6) as online delievery. This programme is delivered in partnership with University of Suffolk.
This role involves blended teaching, combining online delivery with face-to-face sessions, supporting students who are advancing their nursing qualifications to degree level. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality education, student success, and compliance with UK higher education and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching across Level 6 BSc Nursing Top-Up modules (online and in-person)
- Develop engaging lesson plans, digital learning materials, and assessments
- Provide academic guidance and pastoral support to students
- Assess student work and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and engagement
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
Essential Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing (or a closely related field)
- Registered Nurse qualification
- Experience in higher education teaching or clinical education (preferred)
- Strong understanding of UK nursing education standards
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to deliver effective blended learning (online and face-to-face)
UK Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the criteria to teach and work in the UK, including:
- Valid right to work in the UK
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), or eligibility to register
- Understanding of UK healthcare systems and academic quality standards
- Ability to deliver programmes in line with UK regulatory frameworks
Desirable
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCert in Higher Education) or willingness to obtain one
- Experience supervising undergraduate dissertations or research projects
- Familiarity with virtual learning environments (VLEs) an
