Experienced Dental Nurse – Full-time permanent role
TCO or dental reception experience particularly welcomed
Truss Dental is recruiting one experienced dental nurse to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.
We are interested in hearing from experienced dental nurses who fit one of three profiles:
- An experienced dental nurse with a proven track record in treatment coordination/TCO.
- An experienced dental nurse with proven dental reception experience.
- An experienced dental nurse who wishes to remain primarily clinically focused.
This is one vacancy. The successful candidate’s final job title, responsibilities and rate of pay will reflect the proven experience and additional skills they bring to the role.

Salary
Dental nurse: £14.89 per hour
Dental nurse/receptionist: £15.03 per hour
Dental nurse/TCO: from £15.40 per hour
Appointment to the dental nurse/receptionist or dental nurse/TCO profile will be based on demonstrated experience and competence in those additional responsibilities.
The final job title, duties and rate of pay will be confirmed in the successful candidate’s offer and contract.

Hours
- 38 hours per week
- Monday to Friday

What we are looking for
First and foremost, we are looking for an experienced dental nurse who:
- Is appropriately registered with the GDC.
- Provides a consistently high standard of patient care.
- Is professional, reliable and well organised.
- Communicates confidently and kindly with patients.
- Works positively as part of a close-knit team.
- Maintains high clinical and cross-infection standards.
- Takes pride in their work and the patient journey.
- Is comfortable working in a busy NHS and private dental environment.
TCO experience
Candidates with a proven track record in treatment coordination are particularly encouraged to apply.
We are looking for genuine, demonstrable experience in areas such as:
- Pre-clinical patient conversations and triage.
- Treatment coordination consultations.
- Patient communication and treatment plan support.
- Following up treatment plans.
- Managing a patient pipeline.
- Supporting patient conversion and case acceptance.
- Working closely with clinicians and the wider team.
Dental reception experience
We are also very interested in candidates with proven dental reception experience.
Relevant experience may include:
- Managing patient enquiries.
- Telephone communication.
- Appointment book and diary management.
- Payments and administration.
- Recalls and patient follow-up.
- Supporting the wider patient journey.
- Working confidently with a dental practice management system.
We use Dentally, so previous Dentally experience is highly desirable.
