Responsibilities
- Lead energetic walks for dogs in various neighborhoods, ensuring safety and enjoyment at all times
- Monitor dogs’ behavior during walks, responding promptly to their needs and cues
- Maintain clean and organized equipment, including leashes, harnesses, and waste disposal supplies
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ activities, behaviors, and any concerns
- Follow specific care instructions provided by pet owners to meet individual needs
- Ensure all dogs are properly secured and supervised throughout the walk
- Assist with light animal care tasks such as feeding or administering medication if required (training provided)
Requirements
- Genuine passion for animals with prior experience in animal care or veterinary settings preferred
- Ability to handle multiple dogs safely, including those requiring heavy lifting or physical exertion
- Strong customer service skills to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners
- Physical stamina to walk dogs of various sizes over extended periods in different weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to reach different walking locations within the community
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols at all time
- Collecting and dropping off, walking 4/5 dogs in 1 group
