Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to oversee the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the property, preventing theft or damage, and ensuring a safe environment for staff and visitors. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to observe activity across the site
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including administering first aid if necessary
- Enforce loss prevention policies by observing and reporting suspicious behaviour or activities
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for record-keeping purposes
- Control access points by verifying identification and issuing visitor passes when required
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services during incidents or investigations
- Ensure all security protocols are adhered to and report any breaches or hazards immediately
Skills
- Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is desirable
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and monitoring procedures
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, including administering first aid when necessary
- Excellent observational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong organisational skills to maintain accurate records and reports
- Good communication skills for liaising with team members, visitors, and authorities
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform patrols across large areas

Pay: £12.21-£18.64 per hour
