Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive software development strategies aligned with organizational goals, emphasizing cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Lead cross-functional teams in designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable applications utilizing technologies like.NET, Java, Python, JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular), and PHP.
- Oversee the architecture of data warehouses and databases including SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, and other NoSQL solutions to optimize data storage and retrieval.
- Manage system design and infrastructure projects involving virtualization (vSphere), network security protocols (firewalls, VPNs), server management, SAN storage, and network infrastructure components like MPLS, WAN, DNS, and LAN.
- Implement best practices for information security adhering to NIST standards; ensure robust network security measures including firewalls, VPNs, disaster recovery plans, and system administration protocols.
- Drive DevOps initiatives by establishing CI/CD pipelines, automation processes, and monitoring tools to enhance deployment efficiency and system reliability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT departments to manage project timelines using SDLC methodologies while maintaining clear communication channels.
- Foster leadership within technical teams by mentoring developers, managing performance expectations, and promoting professional growth through training in AI/ML technologies and emerging trends.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading large-scale software development teams with a strong background in management and project oversight.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure; experience with cloud migration strategies is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of application development frameworks including.NET (.C#), JavaScript (React, Angular), PHP, Python, Node.js; proficiency in server management and system design.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions; familiarity with ERP systems integration is a plus.
- Expertise in database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, MongoDB; knowledge of data warehousing concepts is essential.
- Solid grasp of IT infrastructure components including network security (firewalls, VPNs), virtualization (vSphere), disaster recovery planning, LAN/WAN configurations, DNS management, VoIP systems, SAN storage solutions.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity standards including NIST guidelines; experience implementing system security measures across diverse environments.
- Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement; negotiation skills for vendor relations; leadership qualities that inspire innovation within teams.

Pay: £25,420.00-£94,171.45 per year
