digiLab is a formative AI company with world-leading specialists in uncertainty quantification, applied where the stakes are highest and the margin for error is smallest.
Our customers are among the largest and most advanced engineering and science-led organisations in the world, and they're using our technology to tackle some of society's biggest challenges. How do we make fusion energy a commercial reality? Can we drive down the cost of renewable energy and accelerate the transition to a sustainable future? How do we support coral reef restoration, or strengthen Britain's national security? These are just a few of the critical questions our technology is helping to answer.
At the heart of our work is digiLab's trustworthy and explainable AI platform, enabling our customers to accelerate innovation, reduce risk, and deliver real value through better informed decisions.
We are looking for ambitious team members to help shape our pioneering technology and tackle some of the world's most impactful problems.
Summary:
The Account Executive, Fusion is a hunter role: you own deals end to end, from qualified opportunity through to signature, on an allocated book of named accounts across the Fusion market — fusion primes, national labs & research centres, fusion supply chain and decommissioning, and the engineering organisations that serve them. A qualified pipeline sits behind the book, so you arrive with something to work rather than a blank territory. You will be commercially disciplined, comfortable in long and formal approval chains, and confident selling alongside engineers into technical buyers.
The Role:
As Account Executive, Fusion at digiLab, you will be responsible for:
- Owning your allocated book of fusion accounts and every open opportunity in it — hunting new organisations is your ground; growing existing ones belongs to Account Managers
- Running deep discovery jointly with Forward Deployed Engineers, mapping a real engineering problem to a real platform capability
- Building the business case: quantified value, the economics of the change, and a story that survives contact with a finance function
- Carrying the bottom of the funnel: procurement, security and legal review, supplier onboarding, framework routes where they apply, negotiation and signature
- Graduating proofs of value into licence agreements — every proof of value carries either a linked licence opportunity or a written reason why not
- Owning your forecast: accurate close dates, honest probabilities, MEDDPICC kept current in the CRM, no surprises at quarter end
- Adopt AI tools to assist and accelerate your work
Duties may evolve, and you may be asked to take on other reasonable responsibilities within your competence to support our growth.
- Significant experience in enterprise B2B software sales with full-cycle ownership, ideally in an early-stage or high-growth environment
- A record of closing six-figure licence and services agreements through formal procurement with multiple stakeholders
- Experience selling into large, regulated, engineering-led organisations where the buyer is technical and the approval chain is long.
- Comfort selling alongside engineers — you don't need to build the model; you do need to understand what was built and why it matters
- A disciplined qualification habit (MEDDPICC or comparable) and honest forecasting under pressure
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills across technical, commercial and finance audiences
- Ability to work collaboratively with Forward Deployed Engineers, Account Managers and the pod Principal
In addition, some 'nice to haves' are:
- Fusion or adjacent regulated domain expertise
- A STEM degree
- Computational competence
- Experience with public-sector or framework procurement routes
- Security clearance eligibility where the sector requires it.
