Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaner to join our team working at Weaver Vale garden centre Friday to Sunday 2 hours a day from 8am to 10am each day. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various commercial premises. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in janitorial work or commercial cleaning, demonstrating a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, retail outlets, and other business premises
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all designated areas to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas regularly
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and cleaning materials as needed
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties to the supervisor
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills and reliability
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- A positive attitude and good communication skills are desirable
