Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare a variety of healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks in accordance with nutritional guidelines and dietary restrictions
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times
- Manage kitchen operations efficiently, including ingredient sourcing, storage, and inventory control
- Collaborate with staff to coordinate meal times seamlessly within the daily schedule
- Serve meals to children in a friendly, engaging manner that encourages positive eating habits
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment following health regulations
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, storage, and preparation to prevent contamination or accidents
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a childcare or educational setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is highly desirable
- Familiarity with meal planning for young children and accommodating special dietary needs
- Ability to serve meals efficiently while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere
