Llys Nini Animal Centre is seeking a compassionate and motivated Animal Rehoming Assistant to join our team on a casual zero‑hours basis. This role supports the day‑to‑day care of animals and helps facilitate successful rehoming.
About the Role
You will work across our cattery, kennels, and small animal units, ensuring high standards of welfare and supporting the rehoming process. Duties include:
- Providing daily care, feeding, cleaning, and enrichment for animals
- Supporting potential adopters and maintaining excellent customer service
- Assisting with rehoming assessments and adoption procedures
- Maintaining accurate records, databases, and administrative tasks
- Working flexibly to cover staff sickness and annual leave
This is a zero‑hours contract, meaning hours are not guaranteed and there is no obligation for either party to offer or accept work. Shifts are typically arranged at least 1 week in advance but, may be arranged at short notice to cover sickness and can fall on any day of the week.
Person Specification
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience and/or qualifications in animal husbandry
- Confidence using computers, databases, and spreadsheets
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A flexible approach to working patterns
- A genuine commitment to animal welfare
Equivalent experience will be considered.
