To deliver high-quality teaching, assessment and academic support for the Level 5 modules 'Artificial Intelligence & Forecasting' and 'Big Data Security', ensuring an engaging student learning experience and compliance with the College's academic quality standards.
The Programme Lead will oversee curriculum delivery, maintain academic standards, support student success, and ensure the programme remains aligned with current developments in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and the wider technology sector.
The role will also contribute to programme development, quality assurance, partnership engagement, and the continuous enhancement of teaching and learning across the programme.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
- Plan, prepare and deliver lectures, seminars and tutorials.
- Teach the approved module content in line with the module specification.
- Develop learning materials and activities using the Virtual Learning Environment.
- Assess coursework and examinations and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate attendance and assessment records.
- Provide academic support and guidance to students.
- Participate in moderation, standardisation and examination boards where required.
- Attend academic meetings and contribute to quality assurance processes.
- Comply with College policies, GDPR, safeguarding and health & safety requirements.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
Essential
RQF Level 7 qualification (master’s degree or above) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
Recognised teaching qualification (or commitment to obtain one).
Experience teaching in higher education.
Experience in programme or module leadership.
Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills.
Ability to use Microsoft Teams and Virtual Learning Environments.
Updated yearly CPD Log.
Desirable
Doctorate in relevant subject area.
Industry experience in software development, AI, data analytics, cybersecurity or related sectors.
Experience in blended or online programme delivery.
Experience teaching international students and Foundation Year learners.
Summary
This role supports the successful leadership, delivery and continuous development of the MBA programme with AI modules through academic leadership, high-quality teaching, student support and industry engagement.
The lecturer will play a key role in ensuring the programme is delivered to a high academic standard while providing an engaging and innovative learning environment that prepares students for progression into careers within the technology sector.
Working within MCC's academic and partnership delivery framework, the lecturer will be responsible for overseeing curriculum implementation, coordinating module delivery, monitoring student progression and ensuring teaching, learning and assessment practices align with institutional policies, awarding body requirements and sector expectations.
The role includes maintaining the quality and relevance of the programme through ongoing review, enhancement and alignment with developments in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, software development, cybersecurity, data analytics and related disciplines.
Pay: £25.00-£40.00 per hour
