We're looking for Care Assistants to join our team at The Mountains Nursing Home, with full-time opportunities available across both day and night shifts.
Set in the beautiful Brecon Beacons, The Mountains is a large nursing home supporting older people with a range of individual needs, including people living with dementia, learning disabilities and age-related conditions.
It's a busy and varied care environment where no two days are quite the same. You'll be joining an experienced team and playing an important part in helping residents feel safe, comfortable, respected and supported.

New to care? We'll also consider people with the right values, attitude and commitment to learn, with induction, training and support to help you build your skills and confidence.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Care Assistant, you'll provide hands-on, person-centred support based around each resident's individual needs, choices and routines.
Your role will include:
- Supporting residents with personal care, including washing, dressing and continence care
- Helping residents with mobility, repositioning and everyday activities
- Supporting residents to maintain as much independence as possible
- Assisting with meals, drinks and hydration
- Providing companionship, reassurance and emotional support
- Responding to residents' individual needs throughout your shift
- Completing accurate care records
- Following individual care plans
- Working closely with colleagues and the wider care team
- Helping maintain a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for residents
Care is about much more than completing tasks. Taking the time to listen, offer reassurance, share a conversation or simply be there when somebody needs you can make a huge difference to someone's day.
What We're Looking For
Previous care experience is welcomed but it isn't essential.
We're also happy to consider people who are new to care but understand that this is a hands-on and responsible role supporting people with a wide range of needs.
You'll need to be:

Experience supporting people living with dementia, learning disabilities or other complex needs would be an advantage but isn't essential.
If you're new to care, you'll receive a full induction, training and support from experienced colleagues to help you develop your knowledge, skills and confidence.
Your Shifts
We have full-time permanent opportunities available on both days and nights.
Day shifts: 8am - 8pm
Night shifts: 8pm - 8am
Shifts include weekends and are worked on a rolling rota.

The Mountains Nursing Home is located in Libanus, Brecon (LD3 8EN) in a rural area of the Brecon Beacons.
You must be able to reliably travel to and from the home for your scheduled shifts, including 8am starts, 8pm starts and weekends.
