Position Summary:
As a Warehouse Shift Manager, you will support the day-to-day operation of a busy warehouse environment by coordinating activities across shift teams, ensuring service, safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved. Working closely with colleagues across the operation, you will help develop team capability, encourage continuous improvement, and create a positive working environment where everyone can perform at their best.

What You'll Do:

Support and coordinate warehouse shift activities to deliver service, productivity, safety, and quality objectives.

Develop and coach team members, ensuring colleagues have the training, resources, and support needed to perform their roles confidently.

Collaborate with operational leaders and neighbouring shifts to ensure effective planning, communication, and smooth handovers.

Monitor staffing levels, labour utilisation, and workflow requirements to help meet operational demands efficiently.

Foster a culture of open communication through team briefings, regular feedback, and inclusive discussions.

Promote compliance with health, safety, food hygiene, and employment practices while supporting the wellbeing of all colleagues.

Who You Are:

You have experience leading or coordinating teams within a warehouse, logistics, FMCG, or similar operational environment.

You are a collaborative communicator who enjoys building positive relationships and supporting others to succeed.

You have strong organisational skills and can balance multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

You are comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and operational reporting tools.

You have experience supporting performance, development, or coaching conversations in a fair and constructive way.

You approach challenges with curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset, seeking practical solutions and learning opportunities.

Experience working in a unionised environment and knowledge of employment practices or people management processes would be beneficial, but not essential.
