APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR VACANCIES IN THE AIRPORT SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR:
PASSENGER & AIRPORT SERVICES ASSISTANT
20 HOURS PER WEEK
£13,312 per annum
Based at Humberside Airport, reporting to the Passenger & Airport Services Officer. The main responsibilities and duties include:
- Providing support to our Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM)
- Undertaking the daily checks and minor servicing of airport equipment
- Ensuring the correct equipment is available for the safe handling of Passengers with Reduced Mobility
- Liaising with internal and third-party organisations involved in passenger processing
- Provision of assistance to PRM passengers in both Airside & Landside locations, including the process of boarding and disembarkation from aircraft
- Providing excellent customer services
- Operation of Airside equipment & vehicles
- Undertaking Airfield Boundary patrols
Key skills required:
- Well-motivated, with the ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to learn and follow set procedures
- Flexibility, friendliness, and willingness to help
- Experience in assisting persons with reduced mobility (advantageous but not essential; training provided)
- Physically fit and capable of assisting PRM passengers
- Excellent customer service skills
The role involves routine shift work on a 3-on, 3-off pattern, starting at 05:00 and finishing at 10:45.
