MULTI PLANT OPERATOR – RECYCLING
We are looking for an experienced Multi Plant Operator to join a busy recycling and waste management operation based in Edinburgh.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced operator looking for a stable Monday to Friday position.
JOB DETAILS
Location: Edinburgh - EH21 8PZ
Pay: £15.50 per hour
Overtime: £23.25 after 46.25 hours
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:00
Hours per week: 46.25 hours
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate a range of heavy plant machinery, including Loading Shovels, 360 Grabs and Forklift Trucks (FLT)
- Move, load and process recyclable materials around the yard
- Complete daily pre-use machinery safety checks
- Carry out basic checks and report any machinery issues promptly
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times
- Keep the yard and working areas clean, safe and organised
- Follow site procedures and instructions
- Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the site
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid plant licences, including NPORS, CPCS or other recognised/accredited tickets
- Licence or experience operating Loading Shovel, FLT and/or 360 Excavator
- Previous experience in a recycling, waste management or heavy industrial environment
- Good understanding of site health and safety procedures
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good awareness of surroundings and safe working practices
