DB Gardeners is looking for an experienced, reliable gardener to join us on a subcontract basis, initially 1–2 days per week, with the potential for more work as the business grows.
This is a hands-on role carrying out garden and grounds maintenance across domestic and commercial sites.
We’re looking for someone who is experienced enough to work independently and take pride in doing a proper job without needing to be micromanaged.
The work will include:
- Regular garden maintenance
- Lawn mowing and edging
- Hedge cutting and pruning
- Strimming and weeding
- Planting and general horticultural work
- Clearance and tidy-ups
- Green waste removal
- Occasional landscaping and fencing work
- Working at both domestic and commercial properties
What we're looking for:
- Previous professional gardening/grounds maintenance experience
- Good knowledge of plants and pruning
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work
- Reliable, punctual and presentable
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication skills with customers
- Physically fit and happy working outdoors in all weather
