The Company is looking for a Panel Installer Operative who displays an enthusiastic positive attitude and is able to work from their own initiative.
Main Job Purpose
To assist with installing panels at customer locations that are fit for purpose and in line with company requirements and expectations.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Predominantly on-site work at various locations throughout the UK, working in the factory when no site work is available.
- On-site work – assisting with installing panels at customer locations including bolting panels together, copper bars being connected and wiring installed and connected.
- Attending customer sites to carry out modifications as required.
- Carry out on site modifications as required.
- Factory work when no site work is required – assisting with any labouring requirements as advised by the Workshop Supervisor.
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards at all times in the factory and on-site including assisting with daily cleans when in the factory.
- Working and communicating effectively with other staff members to ensure job is completed efficiently and to customers; requirements and expectations.
- Ability to work on their own initiative.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations.
- All other duties as required that are considered to be a reasonable employer request.
Essential Skills
- Competent at using the following machines; circular saw, pneumatic punches, wall saw, pillar drills and various hand tools, bending machine and the linisher.
- Good level of numeracy and literacy skills.
- Accuracy with measurements.
- CSCS or ECS card preferable.
- Good attention to detail and high standards of work ethic.
- Full driving licence.
- Fork licence preferable.
- Must be punctual.
- Must be reliable and honest.
- Respectful of customer confidentiality and also when handling customer information.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A genuine team worker.
- Ability to work independently using own initiative.

Starting at Minimum Wage

Hours:
Main working hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 4.30pm, however overtime is extremely likely and a level of flexibility from the employee is required and expected in order to meet customer requirements on site.
