The Role
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative / Material Handler to join our busy warehouse team. You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of the business, from checking deliveries and picking orders to preparing items for despatch and maintaining a clean, organised workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and checking goods inwards against purchase orders
- Picking and preparing stock for delivery and despatch
- Operating Counterbalance and Bendi forklift trucks (Valid Counterbalance and/or Bendi forklift licence required)
- Conducting pre-delivery inspections of products before despatch
- Assisting with regular stock checks and maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring all warehouse areas are clean, tidy and safe at all times
- Supporting colleagues and occasionally assisting installation teams or delivery driving when required
Contracted hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday weekly rotating shift:
- 07:00am - 15:30pm with half an hour unpaid lunch break
- 09:30am - 18:00pm with half an hour unpaid lunch break
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Valid Counterbalance and/or Bendi forklift licence
- Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
- Physically capable of manual handling duties
- Team player with good attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and working to deadlines
- Ability to work on own and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience within the mobility, healthcare or manufacturing sector
- Full UK driving licence
- IT Literate
