Job Purpose:
Are you a people-focused HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment? We're looking for an experienced and pragmatic HR Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract, providing maternity cover during an exciting period of growth and transformation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a HR generalist who enjoys variety, building strong partnerships with leaders and making a tangible difference across a multi-site business. You'll work closely with site managers, providing hands-on support, coaching and guidance across the full employee lifecycle while helping to drive key people initiatives.

What you'll be doing:
- Partnering with managers across multiple locations between Manchester and Glasgow to provide proactive HR support and advice.
- Supporting a wide range of employee relations matters including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance cases.
- Coaching and developing managers to build leadership capability and confidence.
- Supporting organisational change, engagement and people development initiatives.
- Using data and insight to identify opportunities and improve people outcomes.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships and becoming a trusted advisor to the business.
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, talent and succession activities as required.
- Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
You'll be someone who:
- Has previous generalist HR experience in an operational and multi-site environment.
- Builds strong relationships quickly and enjoys working with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Is naturally curious and enjoys understanding how businesses operate.
- Has a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Is resilient, adaptable and comfortable managing competing priorities.
- Has strong communication and influencing skills.
- Is motivated by delivering high-quality results and making things happen.
- Is comfortable travelling as needed to execute duties.
- CIPD qualification is not essential, if you have it great, if you don't that's no problem, and if you want to work towards it we are happy to support.
What we offer:
- Salary of £53,000 with a £5,900 annual car allowance and non-contractual 10% completion bonus payable at the end of the contract.
