Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for an experienced Habitation Surveyor to work across our vibrant organisation.
Hours : 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
Duration : Permanent
What You’ll Do:
Respond promptly to customer enquiries to build loyalty and maintain company reputation.
Attend properties at convenient times to survey and resolve reported defects in line with company obligations.
Identify appropriate solutions and aim to resolve repairs quickly while minimising commercial and reputational impact.
Manage workloads using internal systems, liaising with colleagues, customers and contractors to achieve positive repair outcomes and provide regular updates.
Work collaboratively across teams to support service delivery.
Monitor and analyse defect trends to drive quality improvements, inform project management practices and support long-term asset strategies.
Stay up to date with building regulations, industry standards and best practices to provide technical guidance when required.
Carry out progress and post-inspections to ensure value for money, identify service failures, recommend improvements and help prevent recurring issues.
What You’ll Need:
Experience or qualification in Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
Good knowledge of the Fitness for Human Habitation Act 2018 and relevant building legislation and regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and software packages such as Aareon for mobile working.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
