Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join our machining team on a permanent weekend shift.
This role is suited to a highly skilled machinist who can work independently, produce high-quality components, and maintain productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Candidates should possess a solid understanding of mechanical principles and be comfortable working with various tools and technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting and operating CNC turning machines
- Producing precision components to engineering drawings
- Conducting in-process inspection and quality checks
- Adjusting offsets and tooling as required
- Maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
- Supporting continuous improvement within the turning department
Requirements
- Proven experience within a CNC turning environment
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
- Experience setting and operating CNC lathes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Desirable
- Experience with Fanuc controls
- Experience with Star sliding-head or fixed-head CNC lathes
- Offline programming experience
