Specsavers Arbroath are looking for an administration and call centre assistant to join our friendly team.
Working 32 hours per week over 4 days, 8am-5pm, including your fair share of weekend work, your responsibilities will include:
- Answering incoming calls, answering patient queries and booking appointments, whilst delivering a high standard of customer service
- Making outgoing calls to patients and sending text message reminders
- Dealing with NHS claims and payments
- Daily banking/ till
- Invoicing from various organisation including NHS Tayside, DVLA and more.
- Ordering stationary and clinical consumables
- Setting up the practice ahead of opening
- General housekeeping
We would consider 5 days per week for the right candidate but shift times are non-negotiable.
Hourly rate is NMW/NLW for your age plus 20 pence per hour. 28 days holiday per year plus 1 day birthday leave. Enhanced sick pay and maternity pay available after 2 years of employment with us. Additional holidays available for long service.

About you
- You will have experience in customer service
- You will be keen to work in a fast paced health care and customer service environment
- You will be able to communicate well with all types of people in person and on the phone
- No formal administrative qualifications are required but would be desirable - full training will be provided by us
- You will be fully flexible and able to work 4 days from 7 including weekends
- You will have basic computer skills and able to use Microsoft online platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Excel
- You will have attention to detail in order to rectify any errors you may come across, such as invoicing
- Good numerously and literacy skills
