Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated HVAC Installation, Service & Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
This is a varied role covering new installations, planned preventative maintenance, servicing, commissioning, fault finding and repairs across both domestic and commercial properties.
We are looking for someone who is confident carrying out installation work as well as diagnosing faults and maintaining existing systems to a high standard.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing split, multi-split, VRF and VRV air conditioning systems
- Installing refrigerant pipework, condensate drainage, controls and associated services
- Carrying out first fix and second fix installation works
- Pressure testing, evacuation, charging and commissioning of systems
- Servicing and maintaining air conditioning systems
- Diagnosing refrigeration, electrical and mechanical faults
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Attending reactive breakdowns and callouts
- Carrying out repairs and replacing faulty components
- Completing commissioning and operational checks
- Checking system pressures, temperatures, airflow and general performance
- Identifying potential faults before they become major problems
- Producing clear installation, commissioning and service reports using electronic job management software
- Reading drawings, installation manuals and manufacturer specifications
- Liaising with customers, site managers, office staff and other engineers
- Advising customers on system operation, performance and potential improvements
- Ensuring all installations and maintenance works comply with current legislation, manufacturer requirements and company standards
- Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times
What We're Looking For
Ideally, you will have:
- Around 3 years or more experience within the HVAC industry
- F-Gas Category 1 Qualification
- Experience installing air conditioning systems
- Experience servicing and repairing air conditioning systems
- Experience working with Air Source Heat Pumps
- Good understanding of refrigeration pipework and installation practices
- Experience with pressure testing, evacuation and commissioning
- Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and manufacturer information
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisation and time management skills
- A positive attitude and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
Qualifications & Experience
The following qualifications would be advantageous:
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
- F-Gas Category 1
- Unvented Hot Water Qualification (G3)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Air Source Heat Pump qualifications
- Manufacturer training with brands such as Samsung, Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Panasonic, Vaillant or similar
- Experience with renewable heating and ventilation technologies
- Experience installing VRF, VRV and multi-split systems
- Experience commissioning HVAC equipment

If you have strong practical experience in air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, heating or electrical work but do not currently hold every qualification listed above, we would still be happy to hear from you.
For the right candidate, we are willing to invest in further training, qualifications and manufacturer courses to help you develop your skills and progress within the business.
This could include training in:
- Air Conditioning and Refrigeration

Any company-funded training and qualification arrangements would be subject to individual agreement and the terms of your employment contract, which may include agreements relating to training costs.
We are particularly interested in candidates who are willing to learn, get involved and develop into a well-rounded HVAC engineer who is comfortable with both installation and service work.
