School Cleaner (Term Time Only)
Location: Sheffield S14 (Gleadless / Lees Hall)
Pay: £13.45 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 3.15pm to 5.30pm (11.25 hours per week)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only (plus opportunities for additional hours during school holidays)
We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic School Cleaner to join our team at a friendly school in the S14 area of Sheffield.
This is a part-time, term-time role, ideal for someone who enjoys working to high standards and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe environment for pupils and staff.
About the role
As part of our cleaning team, you'll be responsible for keeping the school clean, hygienic and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors. You'll have your own designated cleaning area while working closely with the rest of the team to ensure the highest standards are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas to a high standard.
- Following cleaning schedules and company procedures.
- Working independently within your allocated area and supporting colleagues where needed.
- Taking pride in your work and maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Adapting to the school's operational needs when required during your normal working hours.
- Following all health and safety, safeguarding and school procedures.
We're looking for someone who
- Has previous cleaning experience. School cleaning experience is preferred.
- Is reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Takes pride in achieving high cleaning standards.
- Works well as part of a team but is equally confident working independently.
- Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn.
- Is flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the school.
- Is happy to complete safeguarding and other school-related training.
Essential requirements
- Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check for the Child Workforce, including a Children's Barred List check.
- Able to provide satisfactory employment references.
- Has the right to work in the UK.
