Parker and Son are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Trainee Quantity Surveyor & Estimator with a desire to learn to join our growing team. We specialise in refurbishment of residential properties, new builds, listed properties including churches, national trust properties and heritage buildings and commercial buildings. At Parker and Son we pride ourselves on delivering high quality work across the Sussex and Kent. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of construction costs, tendering, budgeting, and project estimation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Monitor project budgets and cost control
- Manage valuations, variations, and subcontractor accounts
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and site teams
Requirements
- Desire to learn and progress towards a recognised qualification in quantity surveying and estimating
- Good understanding of construction processes and contracts
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
