We are looking for a qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) to join our team in Llandudno. Ideally, you will have at least three years' experience within an accountancy practice and be confident in dealing with a diverse portfolio of clients, including sole traders, limited companies and partnerships. In this role, you will provide expert accountancy and business advice while delivering an exceptional client experience.

This position would suit either a newly qualified ACA or ACCA accountant looking to take the next step in their career or an experienced practice accountant with a strong background in managing accounts preparation, tax compliance and client advisory services within a practice environment.

Job Purpose
To deliver high-quality accountancy services, providing expert advice and exceptional client support while building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering a high standard of service.
- Monitor workflow, deadlines, job progress, and billing targets.
- Prepare and/or review statutory accounts for limited companies.
- Prepare and/or review corporation tax computations and returns.
- Prepare and/or review accounts for partnerships and sole traders and the associated tax returns
- Prepare and/or review VAT Returns and MTD returns
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver accurate, high-quality work within agreed timescales.
- Respond to client queries promptly and professionally.
- Support and mentor junior team members by providing day to day technical guidance, encouraging continuous professional development, and helping them successfully balance their studies with their role.
- Utilise software including IRIS, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and Microsoft 365.
- Undertake additional duties commensurate with the role.
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 3 years' experience within a practice environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Confident in providing professional advice and practical recommendations to clients.
- Proven experience delivering high-quality accountancy services within a similar role.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Full UK driving licence.
Contract: Permanent.
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 FTE per year dependent upon experience
Hours: Full time at 37.5 hours Monday to Friday
