Working Hours
Full time (up to 45 hours per week)
We offer a variety of shift patterns including:
- 08:00 – 21:00
- 08:00 – 22:00 plus sleep-in
- 22:00 – 07:00 sleep shift
- 21:00 – 08:00 waking night
Please note: Your role will include on-call duties/schedules and it's a 24- hour Rota with weekend work involved.

The Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting people to achieve positive outcomes while providing guidance, leadership, and support to the wider team.
You will:
- Lead by example and promote person-centred support.
- Support individuals to achieve their goals, aspirations, and independence.
- Assist with developing and implementing support plans and risk assessments.
- Support the onboarding, mentoring, and development of new staff.
- Work alongside management to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Attendance in management meetings
- Monitor and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Promote safeguarding, dignity, choice, and inclusion at all times.
- Take responsibility for medication administration where required.
- Support with shift leadership and act as a point of contact for staff during shifts.
- Be part of the on-call rota
- Encourage positive team working and a culture of continuous improvement.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Live within 30 minutes of Teignbridge and Torbay.
- 2 years experience of working as a support worker or similar with people with Learning Disabilities, who have associated Mental Health difficulties and Challenging needs
- Experience supporting individuals with behaviours that may challenge.
- Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 (or working towards) and willingness to complete Lead Practitioner in Adult Care Level 4. (Essential)
- Full Driving license and vehicle is essential to fulfil on-call requirements.
- Must be able to work 24-hour rota.

- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to support and motivate colleagues.
