We are seeking an experienced Nursery Practitioner to join our dedicated team. Duties
- Plan, organise, and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in accordance with early childhood education standards.
- Supervise and support a team of nursery staff, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained at all times.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that promotes learning and social development.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and behavioural observations.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's development, daily activities, and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the nursery setting.
- Assist with the organisation of nursery routines such as meal times, nap times, and outdoor play sessions.
- Drive nursery vehicles when required for outings or transportation purposes.
Skills
- Proven experience in nursery or childcare settings, demonstrating strong management and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Deep understanding of early childhood development principles and childcare best practices.
- Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, fostering their growth and learning through creative activities.
- Strong organisational skills to manage daily routines efficiently.
- Leadership qualities to motivate and guide team members while maintaining a collaborative work environment.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or equipment as needed.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and empathy. Pay: From £13.00 per hour
