Maintenance Electrician
Location: Covering the South East of England (Office & Stores in Welwyn Garden City)

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Electrician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that electrical systems within block management and communal areas are maintained, compliant, and functioning efficiently. This is a varied role combining installation, maintenance, fault finding, and testing, with travel across the South East of England.
You will play a vital role in maintaining operational efficiency, minimising downtime, and delivering excellent service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and planned maintenance of electrical systems and equipment in residential and commercial blocks
- Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and certification in line with regulations
- Fault finding and troubleshooting electrical problems using appropriate diagnostic tools
- Install, repair, and maintain:
- Fire alarms
- Emergency lighting
- Intercom and door entry systems
- CCTV
- General communal area electrical systems
- Perform repairs on wiring, circuit breakers, lighting, and other electrical components
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and management to ensure seamless operations across all sites
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
Base Location
- Welwyn Garden City Office & Stores: Collection point for vans, tools, and materials before travelling to site
Experience & Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician or maintenance electrician in block management or similar environments
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 2391 Testing and Inspection qualification (beneficial but not essential)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- Familiarity with electrical systems, hand tools, and power tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Full UK driving licence
