Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering parcels throughout Cornwall in line with our partners strict processes. The routes are a mixture of residential and business addresses. Vans, fuel and insurance are provided, good common sense, hardwork ethic and the ability to driver a van are the foundation qualities needed to be succesful.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Plan delivery routes using transportation management systems to optimise efficiency and minimise delays.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securement of items during transit.
- Verify delivery orders against shipping documentation, ensuring accuracy in quantities and product details.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries using ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered.
- Assist with warehouse activities including picking & packing, materials handling, and stock organisation when required.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Support process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Experience
- No experience is required as we offer full and detailed training for all applicants.
- Valid driving licence and ability to work in the UK.
Pay: £145.30 per day
