Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the operations of our Autism and Learning Disability care home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, particularly within learning disability homes, and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents, including those with dementia and other complex needs. The Registered Manager will be responsible for managing care plans, medication administration, and leading a team of care professionals to provide compassionate and effective support.
Duties
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the care facility, ensuring compliance with CQC regulatory standards and best practices.
- Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to the needs of each resident.
- Administer medication as required and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Lead and manage a team of support staff, fostering a positive working environment that encourages professional development.
- Provide guidance on PBS care strategies and ensure staff are trained in effective communication techniques with residents.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care and facility operations, ensuring confidentiality is upheld at all times.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to promote holistic care for residents.
Skills
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a learning disability care setting.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and care planning processes.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Compassionate approach to caregiving with a deep understanding of dementia care principles.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
