As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated On Road Technician to join our nationwide service team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys travelling, solving technical challenges, and delivering outstanding customer service in a hands-on environment.
The Role
As an On Road Technician, you will travel throughout the UK carrying out maintenance, repairs, installations, and preventative servicing on pressure washing and window cleaning equipment at customer sites. You will play a key role in ensuring our customers' equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel nationwide to diagnose, repair, and maintain pressure washing and window cleaning equipment at customer locations.
- Carry out preventative maintenance services across the Streamline Systems product range.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational faults, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of customer equipment.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by clearly communicating technical issues and recommended solutions.
- Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.
- Manage company-supplied tools, spare parts, and vehicle stock effectively.
- Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained to the highest standards.
- Represent Streamline Systems professionally at all times, upholding our reputation for quality and reliability.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Technician, Maintenance Engineer, or similar hands-on technical role.
- Experience working with diesel and petrol-powered pressure washing equipment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Confidence working with 12V electrical systems and wiring.
- Good understanding of electrical fault tracing and repair.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and stay away from home when required.
- Comfortable working in enclosed spaces.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of Comet Spa pumps and systems.
- Experience with Webasto heating systems.
- Understanding of pressure washer and boiler systems.
- Experience supporting customer equipment installations and commissioning.
