Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for a Mosques Coordinator to join our team based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester (although the role will initially be home-based during Covid-19 restrictions). You will join us on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year fixed term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £28-33k per annum.
Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.
As a Mosques Coordinator, the successful candidate will play an integral role in developing and maximizing the income generated from the Mosques in the UK by working to support management with building relationships with various Mosques in the UK in order to help secure bookings for collections during Ramadan and all year round. Networking and maintaining good relationships with Mosques by frequently visiting and communicating with them, as well as recruiting volunteers to help with mosque collections and promote the Human Appeal brand. All in order to maximize fundraising income and awareness for Human Appeal.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Mosques Coordinator:
- Establish relationships with a large portfolio of mosques in respect region.
- Manage and complete collections during Ramadan and all the year.

Maintain frequent visits and communicating with mosque key stakeholders.
- Create a circle of mosque volunteers, and successfully utilize them.

Maximize fundraising income and awareness for HA year on year, achieving agreed targets with a return on investments.
What were looking for in our Mosques Coordinator:
- Ideally educated to Degree level (Minimum GCSEs in Maths and English)

Minimum of 2 years in a similar post

Knowledge of Islamic charitable giving e.g. Zakat, Qurbani, Waqf, Fitrana, Fidya
- MS Office Suite

Fluent English is essential. Additional languages such as Arabic, Urdu are desirable
