We are looking to recruit a store manager to join our existing team in our family run business at our store on Mill Lane, Beverley .
Our company is well established and has been retailing for over 30 years. This store is in a very prominent location within the heart of the community and has an annual turnover of more than £1 million.
We have two sister retail stores in Hull selling various floor coverings along with beds, and furniture as well as a trade warehouse & a dedicated business to business commercial centre.
We have an extensive stock holding capacity within our 2 warehouses, holding well over half a million square meters of floor coverings at any one time.
Experience at management or supervisory level is essential, experience with working with measurements or from a flooring background would also be an advantage.
About the Role:
Leading a small and friendly team. We are looking for a manager who will lead a team by example displaying great sales skills and organisation.
Responsibilities include:
· Overall management of branch including opening & closing of store.
· Providing excellent customer service and product knowledge to our customers.
· Use of bespoke EPOS system.
· Ensure a fantastic customer retail experience and advise on products.
· Efficient dealing with inputting of invoices and maintaining stock levels.
· Use of the till, including cash handling & banking.
· Merchandising including promotions and offers.
· Dealing with areas of security, delivery and housekeeping.

About the Candidate:
You must be honest, reliable and hard working with excellent communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have management experience involving management of a team of staff.
There will be an expectation to be able to work with drawings and be able to accurately work out customers size.
Have excellent organisation & time management skills.
Be from a Sales/Retail background.
Physically fit as you will be on your feet most of the day and some lifting is involved.
Willing to work weekends (you will work 5 days out of 7).
Qualifications Required:
G.C.S.E or equivalent in Maths and English.
You may be required to travel to either of our five stores to cover absence and holidays at short notice.
