We are looking for a kind, patient and dependable person to provide companionship and practical support to an 82-year-old gentleman living with mild dementia. He has recently lost his driving licence and, with it, some of his independence.
The role is about helping him remain active, occupied and connected with his family and community. It will include:
- Providing friendly companionship
- Helping him keep occupied and enjoy his afternoons
- Driving him to the shops and on local outings
- Taking him to visit his grandchildren and other family members
- Offering gentle reassurance and support when needed
No personal care is required.
The position is for approximately 15 hours per week, Ideally later afternoon/early evening. All journeys will be within the North Fife area.
A vehicle will be provided for use during working hours. The right person will be calm, reliable and comfortable supporting someone with dementia. A full driving licence, references and PVG membership will be required.
Pay: £13.45 per hour
