Coppull Medical Practice is recruiting a permanent medical receptionist/care navigator/admin assistant.
The weekly rota will be 8am - 2pm Mon to Fri, with alternative Wednesdays off and a 12.30 - 6.30pm shift alternate weeks. However, the post holder will contractually be required to work Monday to Friday between the hours of 7.45am & 6.30pm to cover leave, this will include working additional hours.
This a part time role, although there will be some overtime, there will not be sufficient overtime for those looking for a full time position.
Some late finishes may be possible due to the nature of the role.
Responsibilities and Duties
The role is a combination of reception/care navigator and admin duties. A rota will determine when the post holder is working on reception/care navigation and when they will be undertaking admin duties. There will be periods when the post holder will work more frequently on reception/care navigation.
Duties include being the first point of contact for patients, carers and other healthcare providers both on the telephone and the front reception desk. Using the computerised care record and appointment system to navigate patients to the most appropriate clinician. Dealing with queries from patients is a significant element of this role which includes liaising with clinicians and other healthcare providers.

Admin duties will be delegated by the practice manager.
Qualifications and skills
The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with excellent customer service skills with previous experience in a public facing role. They will need to be a team player, ensuring that they are flexible and committed to the smooth running of the reception team. Confidence with computer skills is essential, although training will be provided on the practice clinical system. At times this will be a challenging role and it is important to have the ability to remain calm under pressure. The successful candidate can expect to work in a very busy, diverse role that requires the ability to multitask and work well with change and new challenges.
