Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team to work only Late and long-day shifts. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals within care homes or in their own homes. The Care Assistant will be responsible for supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Duties
- Assisting and supporting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Supporting clients with mobility ensuring safety at all times
- Helping and supporting clients with meal preparation where necessary
- Assisting with medication management in accordance with care plans
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Supporting clients with domestic tasks such as laundry and light housekeeping and shopping.
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Driving clients to appointments or outings when required
- Adhering to health and safety policies, including infection control procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential, full training will be provided
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive is preferred for supporting clients outside the care setting
- Good organisational skills to follow individual care plans accurately
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for recording client information electronically
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ independence and well-being
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently when required
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed

Pay: £12.71-£12.80 per hour
