Cardinal Newman Catholic High School are looking to appoint a Kitchen Assistant to work Monday to Friday 12.30pm to 2.30pm (term time only) plus 1 week (1 week during holidays for training / deep cleaning of kitchen).
The job purpose is to assist the Kitchen Manager to maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, taking care of all aspects of hygiene as well as helping to prepare food. Kitchen assistants are also responsible for carrying out basic food preparation tasks, such as
-
Washing and peeling food. They will also collect and dispose of waste.

Assisting with basic food preparation activities, including washing up

Cleaning and using dish washing equipment and general kitchen duties

Food service to pupils and staff using cashless tills

Ensure all health & safety and food hygiene regulations are maintained within the kitchen environment

Ensuring a good standard of cleanliness is maintained

Report behaviour observations to the Kitchen Manager for them to maintain the school’s standard of discipline and behaviour Additional duties as directed by the Kitchen Manager
