The Hair Suite is looking for a talented Hair Stylist to join our team.
This opportunity could suit someone at different stages of their hairdressing career. You may already be working confidently as a stylist, have recently completed your Level 3, or hold Level 2 and be looking for the right salon to continue developing your skills.
For us, practical ability, attitude, potential and the right fit with our team are just as important as qualifications or years of experience.

We’re interested in hearing from:
● Level 2-qualified hairdressers who want to continue developing and may be interested in progressing through a Level 3 apprenticeship.
● Recently Level 3-qualified hairdressers looking to build their confidence, experience and client column within a supportive salon.
● Experienced hair stylists with strong practical ability who are ready for their next opportunity.
You don’t need to arrive with a full client base. We’re looking for the right person who wants to build and develop with The Hair Suite.

Your role will include
● Cutting, colouring and styling hair.
● Carrying out professional consultations and recommending suitable services.
● Delivering excellent customer care and building long-term client relationships.
● Working to The Hair Suite’s service and professional standards.
● Maintaining a clean, professional and welcoming salon environment.
● Continuing to develop your knowledge of current hair trends, techniques and products.
● Providing hair extension services where trained and competent, with opportunities for further training where appropriate.
We’re looking for someone who
● Has a good foundation in hairdressing, ideally with NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
● Has experience working with clients in a salon environment.
● Is confident, friendly and professional.
● Takes pride in producing high-quality work.
● Has strong communication and customer-care skills.
● Is reliable and enjoys working as part of a team.
● Is willing to learn, take feedback and continue developing.
● Can provide examples of their work or a link to a hairdressing portfolio or social media account.
Previous hair extension experience would be an advantage, but training can be provided.
An existing clientele is welcomed but not essential.
Hours
We’re flexible about the right working pattern for the right person.
This is a part-time position with up to approximately 30 hours per week available.
Specific days and hours can be discussed during the recruitment process, although some weekend availability will be required.
Pay & progression
We offer a competitive hourly rate based on experience, practical ability and development level.
We have opportunities for progression through our stylist structure:
Development Stylist → Stylist → Advanced Stylist
Progression is based on your practical development, independence, client relationships, performance and contribution to the salon.
For an appropriate Level 2-qualified candidate, we can also explore a Level 3 apprenticeship and development pathway.
