We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Senior Care Assistant (Nights) to join our compassionate care team. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise care staff during night shifts, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care aligned with individual care plans
- Monitor residents’ safety, health, and emotional well-being throughout the night, responding promptly to any concerns or emergencies
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as mobility, hygiene, and medication administration in accordance with care plans
- Maintain accurate records of resident activities, incidents, and care provided using IT systems designed for care documentation
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, families, and external healthcare professionals to coordinate care and relay important information
- Oversee the implementation of care plans, ensuring all actions meet regulatory standards and best practices in senior care
- Support the training and supervision of junior staff members, fostering a positive team environment that promotes leadership and professional growth
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or senior care setting with supervising or leadership responsibilities
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, team members, and external agencies
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of care and safety
- Valid driving license is desirable for supporting resident outings or errands outside the home
- Demonstrated knowledge of care plans, safeguarding procedures, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
- Supervising experience in a healthcare or social care environment is highly advantageous
