Customer Service Administrator (Front-End Team)
Brief Description
As part of the Customer Service Front-End Team, you will act as the key liaison between the customer and the business, delivering a high standard of service while providing essential support to our Sales Representatives.
Working across multiple communication channels, including telephone and email, you will manage customer enquiries, raise orders and quotations, and resolve a variety of internal and external queries. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Following training, you will develop a solid understanding of our product range, technical drawings, and production processes. You will play an important role in ensuring customer requirements are accurately captured and communicated, contributing to the delivery of high-quality products and excellent service.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle customer communication efficiently via telephone, email, and other channels.
- Raise and process customer orders and quotations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate job records and ensure all system notes and documentation are kept up to date.
- Develop and apply technical knowledge of products, including reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Liaise with customers regarding enquiries, issues, deliveries, and production updates.
- Resolve customer complaints professionally from initial query through to completion.
- Work closely with internal departments (Sales, Production, IT, Accounts, and Customer Service) to ensure a consistent and smooth customer journey.
- Manage workload effectively to meet daily targets, deadlines, and service expectations.
- Identify and escalate issues where required, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.
- Support colleagues and wider team objectives, particularly during peak periods.
- Build strong, long-lasting customer relationships and consistently strive to exceed expectations.
- Uphold company values and act as an ambassador for the Starglaze brand.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support business objectives.
Skills and Requirements Essential:
- Experience in a customer service or administrative role
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident IT skills including Microsoft Office and internal systems
- Ability to work to targets and deadlines
- A proactive, positive attitude and strong team-working ability
Desirable:
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to read or willingness to learn technical drawings
- Experience raising orders or quotations
- Knowledge of window, door, or glazing products (advantageous but not essential)
- Experience contributing to process improvement initiatives
