Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Body Technician to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and maintaining vehicle bodies to the highest standards. Duties
- Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair procedures
- Remove damaged panels and parts using hand tools and power tools
- Repair or replace vehicle panels, frames, and structural components
- Perform straightening, sanding, and finishing work to restore vehicles to factory standards
- Use specialised equipment to align and calibrate vehicle frames accurately
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring safety protocols are adhered to at all times
- Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Document repair processes and communicate progress with team members
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Body Technician or similar role within an automotive workshop
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle structures and repair techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, and chisels
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and pneumatic equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive body repair are desirable but not essential
