We are looking for an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to join us as we create a brand new nursery in Worcester.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved from the very beginning. You will work closely with the owners to help shape the nursery, recruit and build your team and create a setting where children can thrive and staff enjoy working.
We are looking for someone who can bring their own experience and ideas and who is excited about helping to build a fantastic nursery from the ground up.
The Role
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the nursery and will play an important part in preparing the setting for opening.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing the day to day operation of the nursery
Recruiting, leading and supporting the nursery team
Maintaining high standards of care and early years education
Ensuring compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, safeguarding and health and safety requirements
Creating a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children
Building strong relationships with children and their families
Supporting staff training and professional development
Helping to develop nursery routines, procedures and ways of working
Working closely with the owners as the nursery opens and grows
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous nursery management or strong deputy management experience
Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
Has a good understanding of the EYFS and Ofsted requirements
Has strong safeguarding knowledge
Is confident leading and developing a team
Has excellent communication and organisational skills
Is approachable, enthusiastic and proactive
Is excited about helping to create a brand new nursery
Qualifications
A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential.
GCSE grade 5/C or equivalent, is required.
Paediatric First Aid and an enhanced DBS will be required for the role and can be arranged as part of the recruitment process.
We particularly welcome applicants with Level 4, Level 5, Early Years degrees, Early Years Teacher Status, SENCO or other relevant higher qualifications.
Candidates holding relevant qualifications above Level 3 will receive an enhanced salary to reflect their additional qualifications and experience.
