Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Block Paver to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for laying durable and visually appealing paving stones to create functional outdoor surfaces such as walkways, driveways, patios, and plazas. Your expertise will help transform outdoor spaces into safe, attractive, and long-lasting environments. Responsibilities
- Prepare the work area by clearing debris, leveling surfaces, and setting out the layout according to project specifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment to cut, shape, and install paving stones accurately
- Mix and apply mortar or other bonding materials to secure pavers in place
- Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and compaction of paving stones for durability and aesthetic appeal
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining safety standards
- Inspect completed work for quality control and make adjustments as needed for a flawless finish
- Maintain all tools and equipment in excellent condition to ensure safety and efficiency on site
Experience
- Proven experience in bricklaying, masonry, or paving work is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, levels, and hammers
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively in a construction environment
- Knowledge of roofing, carpentry, welding or related trades is a plus but not required
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship and safety standards
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team
