Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Goods In Warehouse Assistant. You will be responsible for efficiently managing incoming shipments, ensuring accurate receipt and documentation of goods, and maintaining optimal warehouse organization.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery documentation
- Load and unload goods safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and manual handling techniques
- Operate warehouse management systems to record receipt details, update inventory levels, and track stock movements
- Ensure proper storage of materials, maintaining organized racking systems for easy access and safety compliance
- Assist in shipping processes by preparing outgoing orders, labeling packages, and coordinating with carriers
- Conduct regular warehouse inspections to identify damages or discrepancies and report issues promptly
- Support the maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and mechanical tools, ensuring they are in safe working condition
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience with a strong understanding of materials handling procedures
- Experience operating forklift machinery safely
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and perform manual tasks over extended periods
Pay: From £25,600.00 per year
