Leisure Assistant – Fusion School Services
£13.45 per hour
52 weeks per annum variable shifts available:
Monday – Friday 17:30pm – 22:30pm (This does vary at some facilities)
Weekends 08:30am – 18:00pm (Plus occasional evening events)
Additional hours during school holidays in the daytime would also be available dependant on your availability.
We currently operate School Facilities at.
Cranbrook Campus, Isca School, St James School, St Lukes School, St Peters School, West Exe School and Whipton Barton Federation.
Flexibility to work around these facilities including own transport would be an advantage but not essential

We have an exciting opportunity for a Leisure Assistant to join our team, supporting external groups who use the facilities across schools in Exeter and Cranbrook. We are looking for reliable, motivated individuals to join us on a casual basis, with hours offered according to business needs.
This role provides flexible working patterns, ideal for those seeking work on an as‑needed basis. For the right candidate, contractual hours may also become available.
We can offer a variety of shift patterns, with evening and weekend work, which can be combined to create a suitable and consistent schedule for the successful applicant.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer welcome — Warmly welcome customers to our facilities and provide a positive first impression.
- Facility standards — Ensure equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and in good working condition at all times.
- Programme support — Assist with the delivery and smooth running of leisure programmes and activities.
- Team collaboration — Work closely with colleagues and management to maintain efficient day‑to‑day operations.
- Emergency response — Take the lead in the event of an emergency and escalate promptly to the Operations Manager.
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Good attention to detail
- Experience in a leisure/ sport environment (not essential)
- Excellent customers service
- Good communication skills
- Enjoy meeting people
- Flexibility to work around different facilities
- First Aid Qualification is desirable, training can be given
