We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Supervisor to join the opening team at Amber, an exciting new bar opening in the heart of St Andrews this summer.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of something from day one, helping to shape the guest experience, build a strong team culture, and establish Amber as one of St Andrews' go-to destinations for great drinks, warm hospitality, and memorable nights.
The Role
As Bar Supervisor, you'll work alongside the management team to lead shifts, inspire the bar team, and ensure every guest receives exceptional service. You'll be hands-on behind the bar, maintaining high standards while creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and motivating the bar team during service.
- Delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Preparing and serving a wide range of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and premium drinks.
- Supporting the training and development of new team members.
- Managing stock, ordering, and ensuring excellent product knowledge across the team.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and food and drink safety.
- Opening and closing the venue, cash handling, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Working closely with management to help establish Amber as a leading venue in St Andrews.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has previous experience as a Bar Supervisor or in a senior bar role.
- Is passionate about hospitality and creating great guest experiences.
- Has strong cocktail and wine knowledge.
- Leads by example with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and remains calm under pressure.
- Is organised, reliable, and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
- Is flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
