Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Manager to oversee daily store operations and lead a team towards achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer service. Duties
- Lead, motivate, and supervise retail staff to ensure high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
- Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock control, and visual merchandising.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor team productivity.
- Maintain excellent communication with team members, suppliers, and customers to foster a positive shopping experience.
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising standards.
- Handle customer enquiries professionally via phone or in person, ensuring adherence to excellent phone etiquette.
- Analyse sales data and prepare reports for senior management to inform business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the store environment.
- Support recruitment processes by interviewing candidates and participating in staff training programmes.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within the retail sector, including supervising teams and managing sales operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide staff effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Effective communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for diverse customer bases.
- Demonstrable experience in merchandising, sales management, and administrative duties.
- Proficient in using retail management software and MS Office applications.
- Outstanding time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Previous experience in managing budgets, stock control, and organisational planning.
